iPhone 5s Price Drops To $99 On-Contract As New Flagship Smartphones Mark Debut, Plastic-Covered iPhone 5c Free With Contract

Right after the new iPhone 6 smartphones have been unveiled, the iPhone 5s price, as well as the iPhone 5c cost has been cut down, making it Apple's midranger handsets for a market that still wants to get an iPhone for cheap.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the iPhone 5s will now cost $99 on contract, which $100 cheaper, while the iPhone 5c comes free on a contract.

In spite the previous generation iPhones taking the price cut, both phones are still capable devices.

The iPhone 5s packs a 4-inch Retina display, the company's first ever 64-bit A7 chip, an 8MP primary camera with True Tone flash, and several storage options such as 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB. The iPhone 5c also gets similar specs, but with a cheaper plastic casing instead of the aluminum.

Another major difference is the iPhone 5s' Touch ID home button which allows users to register their fingerprint in order for a more improved iPhone security.

Meanwhile, the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus should be available in their initial target market in the next couple of weeks. And by the time November kicks in, almost the entire world may be enjoying the latest Apple smartphone already.

In case you haven't heard, the new iPhones will pack a more rounded body with curved edges, probably to facilitate with one-hand functions.
