FC Barcelona will face off against rival Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, placing two of La Liga BBVA's closely followed teams against each other.

FC Barcelona, currently ranked number one in the league's standings, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

FC Barcelona manager Luis Enrique mentioned working with his team has been a positive experience.

"It's been really interesting to attend this two-day meeting in Nyon," he said, according to the team's website.

"We have learned about the new regulations for the Champions League next season and analyzed each of our different views about the competition ... I'm leaving happy. And I hope that all we've talked about will help to unify criteria for the next edition of the Champions League."

Athletic Bilbao, ranked number seven in the league, is expected to be the underdog in the match.

Athletic Bilbao manager  Ernesto Valverde recently mentioned that his team was delighted to defeat Napoli, ESPN reports. 

"There is huge emotion for all of us," Valverde said, according to the site.

"We have seen today who our players are, we have come back, against a team like Napoli, who played in this competition last year. Now we are really going to play the most prestigious competition in world football. For me to have lived this historic night, which everyone will remember, it is a privilege. We suffered, that happens in football, but there is immense and incredible joy now. There is a party going on in the dressing-room it is all a party. After everything we have put in through these months, all the preparations for this game, the players deserve this."
