Homeland Season 4 Trailer: First Look At Redhead Baby Brody! [PHOTOS] Carrie Struggles To Juggle Motherhood And Espionage

A new official "Homeland" season 4 trailer reveals a first good look at redhead baby Brody, while Carrie struggles to juggle motherhood and espionage. Check out the photos above!

According to Entertainment Weekly, the new "Homeland" season 4 trailer features short shots of "a conspicuously red-haired" baby, the child Carrie was pregnant with last season after her affair with Brody.

In the trailer, Carrie's sister Maggie accuses Carrie of trying to get posted overseas to avoid raising her daughter.

"You bring a life into this world, you take responsibility," Maggie says harshly.

"I'm sorry," Carrie whispers to her daughter's crib in another scene, and walks out the door.

Another shot shows Carrie bathing her baby but then breaking into sobs. Check out the trailer below:

This longer "Homeland" season 4 trailer suggests that it won't be easy for Carrie to juggle being a mother and a spy.

Luckily, the preview also features Saul and Quinn - as well as Netflix's "House of Cards" actor Corey Stoll playing CIA Station Chief in Pakistan - meaning that these boys are back to help Carrie keep terror at bay.

As we previously reported, showrunner Alex Gansa revealed to Entertainment Weekly that "about six months" have passed since we last saw Carrie in the "Homeland" season 3 finale episode.

"She has given birth to the child and I'd rather not give away where the kid is, but I will say probably one of the reasons she's found herself in Afghanistan and Pakistan is it's a place where you're disallowed from bringing a dependent," Gansa said in his spoiler chat with EW.

"So she doesn't have like a child in one arm and a cell phone in the other working espionage," EW clarifies.

"Correct," Gansa responded.

Claire Danes, who plays Carrie on the Showtime show, also added that though the baby might not be physically present for many episodes, it will have a big role for her character.

"I think [the child] is going to be a big theme for her emotionally," Danes said. "I think she probably escapes into her job. I think she hurls herself at it as a way to avoid some unresolved, very painful feelings to do with Brody."

"Homeland" season 4 will premiere with two back-to-back episodes on October 5.
