Miami Heat Roster: After James' Departure, Rebuilding In South Beach Done In Just Two Months?

it was all nightmares for the Miami Heat roster at the beginning of the off-season as their most priced player decides to leave South Beach and return to his roots in northeast Ohio.

However, instead of getting depressed and disappointed, Heat president Pat Riley made sign-in after sign-in, and just a week after Miami lost LeBron James, they already have a working starting five to begin the rebuilding.

Even before James' Decision 2.0, Miami has already acquired two key players for their rotation, which include Josh McRoberts from the Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets), and Danny Granger who was traded by the Pacers to the Sixers and then the Clips.

Both McRoberts and Granger are role players who can step up and provide firepower for the Heat. As their primary scorer is gone, the team will have to get as many points from everyone on the team as possible.

But how about defense?

That's where Luol Deng comes in. Right before James makes his decision, it has been reported that Deng has not come to terms with Heat management in terms of salary.  Surprisingly, the former Bulls and Cavs forward even took a price cut to sign with Miami after LeBron returned home to Cleveland.

Deng will bring the much needed reinforcement for Miami on the defensive end, especially in the wing position.

Miami has also brought back Chris Bosh on a max contract, as well as Dwyane Wade, which can now be referred to as the team's Big Two.

Now that the Heat is heading to the season for the first time in 4 years without LeBron, could they silence doubters and prove that they are still one of the best teams in the East?

Only time will tell whether this team can still make it to the Finals.
