Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Still Looking For NBA Talent? Point Guard Eric Bledsoe Might Not Be Interested

After all the Cleveland Cavaliers roster has acquired this off-season, rumors suggest that the Dan Gilbert-owned squad is still looking for more stars to bolster its chances of winning a championship this coming NBA season.

And one of these potential acquisitions could be point guard Eric Bledsoe, who is still an unsigned free agent at this stage of the off-season.

While LeBron, Love and Irving are all solid starters for the Cavs, together with Anderson Varejao and probably Dion Waiters, Cleveland has a thin lineup on the point guard spot.

Bledsoe can be that guy who can relieve the minutes from Irving, but provides almost the same level of firepower and facilitation skills.

Unfortunately, even if there's a possibility given that Bledsoe and James are friends, the guard may not be interested in taking a paycut.

According to Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio, that is exactly the problem Bledsoe is facing with his current team, the Suns. Phoenix does not want to offer a max contract, and instead offers him a one-year qualifing offer that will make him a free agent next off-season.

If Bledsoe doesn't want a four-year $48 million contract, how can they expect him to get a much bigger paycut when he goes to Cleveland? There are already three superstars playing in Cleveland, and with those three players only, the Cavs are already above the limit.

The team has also signed veterans Mike Miller, James Jones, and Shawn Marion, all shooters from deep. And they're even planning to pursue Ray Allen and persuade him to postpone his retirement for the sake of another NBA title.

Cleveland should be happy right now with the position it's currently in, and should focus more on how to jell together as a team, not get more players to potentially ruin the chemistry on and off the court.
