As fans anticipate the release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the recent rumors involving the 18th Pokemon movie may not be what observers presume it to be.

During the theatrical release of the Pokemon X and Y movie, "Diancie & the Cocoon of Destruction," a trailer was allegedly attached to the film showing footage from Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Many people took this as a sign that the next Pokemon movie, colloquially known as Pokemon movie 18, will be based on the Hoenn remakes.

However, after more theater-goers witnessed the so-called trailer, some believe it was simply an advertisement for the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games, and not necessarily for a movie.

"I saw the movie in Japan and all that happened in the end (after the credits) was Serena and the other little girl telling us to make sure we download Diancie, or something to that effect," commented Lazy_Clips on reddit. "After that there was a trailer but it seemed more as a trailer for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire and trading cards, not an 18th movie."

"They just showed more footage for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire or the cards, definitely not a movie," added Fortunate34.

"Although it'd be great to get a movid based on these Primal Evolution events, since now the anime and series is focused more on finding out about the evolution of Pokmeon," wrote KrispyyV0dKA. "One can only dream."

Meanwhile, the Pokemon X and Y anime series has a new episode title for an episode that will air October 16.

According to Serebii, episode 48 will be titled "Serena Catches Her First Pokemon!? Pacham VS Fennekin!!"
