The Viber 5.0 version now offers a free call.

The one of the most commonly used messaging app Viber has disclosed the release of Viber 5.0 for Android and iOS. According to the report of The Star, the Viber 5.0 version is not only available on smartphones, but also on desktop application for Windows, Windows 8 and OS X.

"We're delighted to bring video calling to mobile, now that you can make video calls from your phone as well as on your PC and Mac, you can always talk in the way that's most convenient for you, wherever you happen to be," said Viber chief executive officer Talmon Marco, according to the report of The Star.

The Viber 5.0 version according to the report of Hardware Zone, also offers the user to manage contacts by adding their Viber number or scanning a special QR code.

"There are OS specific enhancements too. For example, the Android version gets a redesign that focuses on making the app easier and more fun to use; and the iOS version now lets users turn sticker packs on or off, reorder them, as well as forward photo messages," according to the report of Hardware Zone.

Moreover, aside from the Viber 5.0, the company also offers a version of 4.3 for desktop users and the Viber version 3.2 for Windows 8 users.

Viber, is one of the well-known mobile communication by Rakuten platform offering a free messaging and phone calls.
