[VIDEO]‘Attack On Titan: No Regrets’ Gets Promo Video! Can U.S. Fans Hope For Funimation Simultaneous Release? ‘Attack On Titan’ Season 2 Release Date Announcement Soon To Follow?

Captain Levi fans are buzzing with excitement as the first promo video for "Attack on Titan: No Regrets" was released. The "Attack on Titan" spinoff is set to be packaged with the volumes 15 and 16 of the manga, the first half due out on December 9th, and the second half scheduled for April 9th of 2015. Given the recent increase in North American simulcasts and simultaneous releases, can U.S. fans expect an English subbed simultaneous release in December? And of course, with this announcement, fans of the popular anime series are still wondering when they can expect "Attack on Titan" season two.

"Thanks for the birthday wishes. Even though it's the internet, it means a lot for me :)" was the latest tweet from "Attack on Titan" creator Hajime Isayama in August. One could guess that he hasn't been on social media as of late because he's busy finishing arguably the most anticipated manga series of this year.

Today, fans can at least rest easy with the new promo video for "Attack on Titan: No Regrets," an origin story for popular survey corps Captain Levi Ackerman. Anime News Network reports, "The promotional video reveals that Koji Yusa (Zettai Karen Children, Black Butler) and Mariya Ise(Yes! Precure 5, Hunter × Hunter) will join the cast as Farlan and Isabel, respectively." They also have provided a translated script of text and dialogue from the promo for English fans.

Speaking of English, will Funimation be releasing the "Attack on Titan: No Regrets" DVD in North America? No official announcement has been made by the company, but if they plan on competing with Viz Media, who recently promised a whole bunch of simultaneous releases, they should have something in the works for U.S. fans to receive the manga and DVD bundle.

More importantly, with the release of this spinoff anime, is the "Attack on Titan" season 2 release date soon to follow? Allegedly it still depends on the release of volumes 15 and 16 of the manga, but perhaps fans can speculate that since both volumes have scheduled release dates, the anime production will soon follow with their own scheduled release date. Here's hoping that Isayama's silence on social media is a sign that he's nearing the finish line for the newest volumes of "Attack on Titan."
