In Honor Of Jennifer Lopez's Next Film 'The Boy Next Door' Here's Our Top 5 Favorite Bad Teachers In Film [VIDEO]

Recently a trailer for "The Boy Next Door" starring Jennifer Lopez has surfaced and while she herself may have never been in a situation where a hot student (played by Ryan Guzman) is after her, its definitely not a new subject for filmmakers. So in the spirit of "Bad" teachers, here's our top 5 teachers in film who were bad in multiple good ways.

#5 - Michelle Pfeiffer in "Dangerous Minds"

Some Millennials may remember that time Hilary Swank was in "Freedom Writers," changing the lives of her urban students, but those a little older remember that Michelle Pfeiffer did it first in the 1995 film "Dangerous Minds." She's definitely a good teacher in terms of her actions, but she does some "badass" things to get through the horrible public education system to help her students.

#4 - Cameron Diaz in "Bad Teacher"

While critics did not love the film, audiences (teenagers especially) loved Cameron Diaz in "Bad Teacher," as she won awards at both the People's Choice Awards and Teen Choice Awards for her role in the comedy film. She does plenty of bad stuff in the film but also some good stuff, highlighting some issues with standardized testing along the way.

#3 - Matthew Broderick in "Election"

Alexander Payne's "Election" was the jumping point for a lot of young faces, including Reese Witherspoon. Veteran Matthew Broderick however doesn't disappoint as a teacher who, well - let's just say he's had enough of the shenanigans of students that overachieve for the sake of being an overachiever. In that way, he's a good teacher gone bad.

#2 - Lindsay Burdge in "A Teacher"

If you're not an indie film buff it's easy to have missed this film, although it has been streaming on Hulu for a while. Nevertheless, critics loved Lindsay Burdge in it. She definitely gives a performance that Jennifer Lopez should hope to live up to, especially portraying the emotional depth of the racy teacher-student affair from the teacher's point of view.

#1 - Morgan Freeman in "Lean on Me"

Morgan Freeman's career is a long and expansive one, so it's no surprise that he's played a teacher before. Well, technically he becomes a principal in this one, but he teaches the kids of Eastside High some valuable life lessons. His teaching methods however are quite unorthodox.
