Google Nexus 6 Motorola Release Date Will Be In Secret Just Like Last Year? New 5.9" Android Phablet Will Be Named Nexus X?

It appears that Google may not be holding any special events for the upcoming Nexus 6.

According to rumors, the new Android-powered device may have the same announcement as last year's Nexus 5, which was 'silently' launched in late October.

Bearing the model number XT1100, the Motorola-made smartphone is said to in fact get the name Nexus X and not Nexus 6.

In spite the phone's alleged 5.9-inch screen, and its being the sixth iteration of the Google lineup, the search engine giant and the Moto maker may just opt for Nexus X in order to avoid any trademark issues.

In addition to the naming, the upcoming Nexus device would be announced 'on or around' the Halloween season, and should be available to purchase before the holiday shopping season.

In case you have not been paying attention to rumors lately, the Nexus 6 or Nexus X from Motorola will reportedly pack a 5.9-inch display with a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 805 chipset, and a quad-core CPU running at 2.7GHz.

On the camera department, the phone is expected to come with a 13MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), and a 2.1MP front cam.

More importantly, the device will debut with Android L, and even the new HTC-made Nexus 9 tablet. The Google-made slate will be HTC's first venture into the tablet industry since 2011, so we're pretty excited how the Taiwanese manufacturer would come up with the design.

The slate is rumored to pack NVIDIA's Tegra K1 chipset which makes it a graphics processing beast, as well as an 8.9-inch display with QHD resolution, and an 8MP primary camera.

Stay tuned for more details about the Google Nexus 6 from Motorola release date, as well as updates on Android L, the Nexus 9, and Android Wear.
