Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Meet The Flagship Smartphone That Costs Like A Midranger, Boasts 5.36" Display, 2GB RAM, Sony-Made 20.7MP Shooter, Already Receives 7.7 Million Pre-Orders

Even before the IFA began last week, one of the upcoming Android phones for 2014 has already been announced.

Dubbed as Meizu MX4, the smartphone is said to be a tight contender to the Mi3 and M4 phones from emerging Chinese phone maker Xiaomi. And if you're a company threatening a threat to Samsung's supremacy in the Android realm, then that's already something.

In a recent report Android Headlines, the new Android phone has already surpassed 7 million pre-orders, and now approaching the 8 million mark.

So what makes the phone so special that it gotten the attention of the market?

For one, the Meizu MX4 is already available internationally and some markets where it will arrive include countries in Europe, North America, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

In its signup page, the phone currently costs $449 for the 16GB model while buyers would be set back at $489 for the 32GB edition. As you can see, the price may be decent but certainly not the best rates for a phone that packs a 5.36-display, Full HD resolution, and 2GB RAM.

However, there's a catch.

The Meizu MX4's price already includes shipping and taxes for most of the countries within the covered market worldwide. So for example, if you live in Korea and you have purchased the MX4 online, then you will only pay for either $449 or $489 and you're good to go. You won't have to deal with shipping costs as well as taxes.

That's probably why the phone has reached 7.7 million pre-orders already. Aside from the mentioned specs already, the Meizu MX4 also packs a 20.7MP primary camera at the back that is specially made by Sony, while a 5MP front-facing shooter graces the front.
