Team USA Basketball: Rudy Gay Sparks Fight After Lithuania Game [VIDEO]; Complains About ‘Dirty Play’ From Lithuania! Americans Ready For Gold Vs Serbia!

Team USA's basketball team was not going home unscathed. While they have been undefeated with nary a doubt on the outcome, their opponents won't be accused of making it easy for them, no matter what the scoreboards indicate.

The Americans recently breezed past Lithuania in their semifinal outing in a 96-68 drubbing, but the intensity wasn't lacking. There was even a fight that took place after the game after Rudy Gay, forward from the Sacramento Kings voiced his displeasure on what he considered 'dirty play' from the Lithuanians.

He talked to USA Today where he confided that he had to take an emergency trip to the dentist.

"I've got a fracture in my jaw, a broken tooth and am going to probably need a root canal," Gay. "The top is where I got hit. It's painful. It's uncomfortable, and it still bleeds, so I've got to continuously gargle. It is what it is, man."

The elbow he took was allegedly from one of the Lavrinovic twins.

"I think (the elbow) had a little bit to do with (the situation afterward). It was a dirty play, man. It was a dirty play."

"I don't even remember. I couldn't tell them apart."

It's hard to blame Rudy Gay for that one. Here are the Lavrinovic twins from a photo from Euroleague.net:

In the resulting skirmish, Coach Mike Kyzyzewski of Team USA bravely stepped in the middle. He did not want any possible hindrances to a tournament that could probably be his greatest triumph. He had to overcome the odds in this one, specifically with a significant shortage of manpower.

Rudy Gay is cleared to play in Sunday's gold medal game.

In the meantime, here's the video of the brief post-game skirmish:
