‘Criminal Minds’ Season 10 Spoilers: Hotchner And Morgan’s Girlfriends Will Take Focus, Shemar Moore Says Season Is ‘Character-Driven’

New "Criminal Minds" season 10 spoilers reveal that the storyline will feature Hotchner and Morgan's girlfriends. Shemar Moore, who plays Agent Morgan on "Criminal Minds," revealed that season 10 will be a lot more "character-driven" than previous seasons.

"Criminal Minds" executive producer Erica Messer told TVLine: "We need to figure out a few things with Morgan's girlfriend [Savannah] and Hotch's girlfriend [Beth] and see how we'll explore those stories this year."

"Criminal Minds" fans will remember that Morgan is dating Savannah, while Hotchner's girlfriend is named Beth.

Shemar Moore spoke to Huffington Post Canada about what fans can expect for his character in "Criminal Minds" season 10.

"I'm grateful that Derek has a girlfriend. It's about time he got some! I'm glad the romance has shown new layers to the character. There are a lot of gems this season. This show is more character-driven than most procedurals," Shemar Moore said.

As we previously reported, "Criminal Minds" season 10, episode 1 spoilers reveal that the BAU team will welcome a new agent, Kate Callahan, played by Jennifer Love Hewitt!

According to TVLine, the synopsis for "Criminal Minds" season 10, episode 1 reads: "The BAU team investigates a series of murders in Bakersfield, Calif., which have left the victims unidentifiable. Also, the team welcomes new agent Kate Callahan (The Client List's Jennifer Love Hewitt) into the BAU fold."

The episode is called "X." The premiere date is Wednesday, October 1 at 9pm on CBS.
