Alec Baldwin and Danny Glover Enter The Black Labyrinth Together in New Science Fiction Film Andron

Alec Baldwin and Danny Glover, who have played Jack Ryan and Roger Murtaugh, have signed on to star in upcoming science fiction film action movie "Andron -- The Black Labyrinth."

The movie is being made by AMBI Pictures, which is a newly launched film production and finance company owned and run by Andrea Iervolino and Lady Monika Bacardi. Principal photography begins this month in Malta, in collaboration with the Malta Film Commission, and in Italy. Franceso Cinquemani wrote the screenplay and is directing the film in his feature directorial debut.  The film does not yet have U.S. distributors. AMBI's international sales arm, AMBI Distribution, is handling worldwide sales.

In making the announcement, Iervolino said "The story of Andron is enough to excite sci-fi fans worldwide, but when you add actors like Alec Baldwin and Danny Glover, the meter rises even higher. We're very excited to add this film to our production slate and eager to get to work on a film we believe has great breakout potential."

Alec Baldwin and Danny Glover will lead the cast of Andron, which also stars Michelle Ryan, from the film "EastEnders;" Skin, who is the lead vocalist of the British band Skunk Anansie; Jon Kortajarena from the film "A Single Man;" Gale Harold, who was on the series "Queer as Folk" and Leo Howard  from the film "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra."

The new sci-fi/action follows a group of young men and women who wake up in a dark, claustrophobic maze and struggle to survive. They people can't remember how they got in the labyrinth in the first place. In order to survive, they have to learn to decipher codes, understand the signals and beat tests in as they being watched by the rest of the world, who are betting on who will survive.

AMBI recently premiered the film "The Humbler," which was directed by Barry Levinson and starred Al Pacino, at the Toronto Film Festival.
