Los Angeles Clippers Roster Re-signs Veteran Turkoglu At Veteran Minimum, Can 'Lob City' Reach Western Conference Finals This Season?

For the past couple of seasons, the Los Angeles Clippers roster is one of the most talented when it comes to stars from its starting lineup. However, in those same years, the Clips have failed to advance further into the Playoffs.

What seems to be the problem?

Coach Doc Rivers and company continues to look for remaining NBA talents who would provide the numbers for the team.

And in a new report by ESPN, Los Angeles re-signs veteran Hedo Turkoglu on a one-year veteran's minimum contract. Unfortunately, details about the deal were not disclosed.

Turkoglu was signed by the Clippers earlier this year and immediately contributed modestly on offense. While Hedo is still looking for his place in the Clips offense, he still has one of the highest percentages in three point defense, after he shot 40 percent from downtown.

Lob City will certainly need someone who can spread the floor, in order for its big men to operate inside.

While Turkoglu's 6'10" frame is certainly fit for a power foward position, his ability to spread the floor from the three point territory will allow him to play the three spot as well.

With Chris Paul in the lineup orchestrating the offense, expect Turkoglu to have a lot of open shots come the NBA 2014-15 season. But does that make the Clippers a threat in the West? Not quite.

Coach Doc Rivers will reportedly have a complete set of assistant coaches when training camp kicks off in October, and that will mean adjustments for the team as a whole.

CP3 has been playing with the Clips for some time now, though it still remains to be seen what could be the final piece to the roster that would push them to the Western Conference Finals.
