If you are looking for Apple Watch specs and you want to find out if it will be waterproof, then the good news is that it will be. 

However, Apple may have re-defined the whole 'waterproof' feature. 

According to a report by BGR, David Pogue in a private briefing learned some bits and pieces about Apple's wearable device. 

Pogue states that the Apple Watch is water-resistant in that the user should not worry in case he sweats a lot, or he wears the device in the middle of the rain. 

"Sweating, wearing it in the rain, washing your hands, or cooking with it are fine."

Oddly, the Apple Watch reportedly is not capable of withstanding too much water. 

"Take it off before you swim or get in the shower, though", Pogue says. 

This means no people who love taking their devices outdoors and even underwater may not be able to do so with the Apple Watch, unless they want to see their $349 investment rust. 

The Apple Watch is one of the most awaited devices in the market, and it comes at a time when the smartwatch revolution is at its peak. 

And while, sales in this particular niche have not been significant enough, Apple could be the catalyst that could jumpstart it. Unfortunately, the Apple Watch will not be available until early next year.
