It's a new chapter for Benji and Joel Madden. The brothers who once founded the Maryland rock band Good Charlotte have just launched a new project called The Madden Brothers, of course, and their taking the act on the road.

But this time around, the bros are bringing along the special ladies in their lives.

"I think we kind of grew up with everyone," Joel told E! News in a recent interview, explaining how the pair's sound has changed since their Good Charlotte days.

Now we're in our 30's and growing as musicians and songwriters and people. It's bound to change," explained Joel.

"Greetings From California," the Madden Brothers' new album was released on Sept. 16, and their first single "We Are Done" is currently making waves on the radio charts.  

Continuing to discuss the brothers' evolution as artists, Joel added, "This is where we're at. It's a true representation of us as artists and music fans and just where we're at."

Joel also verified that his wife Nicole Richie would be joining The Madden Brothers on tour as the identical twins promote their new record.

"It's a family band, man, so it's all inclusive," said Joel. "Our house is a musical household. We're a musical family. It's all around," he added, even revealing that the couple's children, 6-year-old daughter Harlow and 5-year-old son Sparrow, are musically inclined too.

When the interviewer asked Benji if he would be taking girlfriend Cameron Diaz on tour as well, the quieter of the Madden twins fumbled his words a bit. Eventually, he did respond.

"That's a funny question. I don't know. We haven't talked about it yet," he told E!

Regarding the topic of sustaining a romantic relationship while on the road, Benji simply said, "I'm the same as my brother, you know. Anything it takes to make it work."
