Sharon Stone Is Difficult To Work With Said 2014 ‘Golden Boy’ Filmmakers; Actress Remained Unfazed Despite Rumors

Italian director Pupi Avati confessed recently to Hollywood Reporter that he has bad memories towards Sharon Stone in the shoot of the upcoming 2014 Italian film "Golden Boy" saying that the actress is difficult to work with and has lots of demands in her stay in Italy. Though Pupi and his brother Antonio Pavati, the film producer, are thrilled that Stone agreed, still they were annoyed of the actress' list of demands

The director told sources that initially, he was excited to work with the veteran actress considering her position as an icon and that he had worked really hard in convincing the celebrity to work with them. Meanwhile, the Pupi cannot help but disclose that in the contract signing, the actress' agents and representatives made him and his brother feel that Italy is a third world country and that they have every right to demand to make Stone comfortable.

"It was a negotiation that bordered on ridiculousness, concerning embarrassing details, as if Italy was a third world country. By the way, we do have electricity in Italy," he said in an interview.

The filmmaker Antonio Pavati supported his brother's account saying that the "Basic Instincts" actress behaved well in the first few days in the set when people do not recognize her first as a Hollywood actress. But the transformation happened when more people and photographers recognize her and start to crowd around her.

"On this rented train, everybody asked to take a picture with her. And when we arrived at the Tiburtina train station [in Rome] there were already about 30 photographers. We brought her to the most luxurious suite of the Hassler Hotel. The next day on set there were more than 200 paparazzi. There, her ego definitively inflated," he said during the interview.

The actress' alleged misbehavior heightened when there a television group trying to film her while the acting is going on and she reportedly left the set and never came back until the crew would left.

"Then my brother [Antonio Avati] received a phone call from Los Angeles from her manager. She wouldn't come back on the set until the photographers and especially that damned TV cameramen had gone away. Obviously we did so and she, like nothing happened, shot the scene. The thing that I found most absurd is that she had to call to the States and to close herself in a car, instead of coming to ask us directly," the "Golden Boy" director stated.

Meanwhile, the 56-year old actress is seen getting a pampering session in a salon in Beverly Hills on Friday despite accusations of misbehavior.

Cindi Berger, Stone's representative also denied the accusations and had not given further comments. "None of this is true. Ms. Stone is the consummate professional."

The filmmakers, however, said that they will still continue working with the veteran actress despite their earlier statements.
