Pupi Avati Slams Sharon Stone For Making Outrageous Demands While Shooting

Italian film director, screenwriter and producer, Pupi Avati was confirmed that he wanted the Golden Globe Award winner, Sharon Stone to star in his film,  "Golden Boy". Nonetheless, what the "Golden Boy" director didn't know, he revealed to The Hollywood Reporter on Friday in an interview.

The Italian director told The Hollywood Reporter that he was elated that the American actress agreed to act in "Golden Boy" despite of it being a low-budget project. However, his happiness was short-lived as Stone's reps handed over a long list of demands.

He said, "It was a negotiation that bordered on ridiculousness, concerning embarrassing details, as if Italy was a third world country. By the way, we do have electricity in Italy."

Stone's outrageous behavior continued as she left the set unannounced when she saw a TV crew and photographers shooting a scene.

Avati said, "Then my brother (Antonio Avati) received a phone call from Los Angeles from her manager. She wouldn't come back on the set until the photographers and especially that damned TV cameramen had gone away. Obviously we did so and she, like nothing happened, shot the scene. The thing that I found most absurd is that she had to call to the States and to close herself in a car, instead of coming to ask us directly."

However, a rep. for Sharon Stone denied the allegations and in an email to Huffpost Entertainment stated, "None of this is true," the rep. further added, "Ms. Stone is the consummate professional."

This is not the first time; Stone is being slammed for her on-set behavior. Nikki Finke, editor-in-chief and president of Deadline.com, smashed the actress in a harsh 2010 piece.

The Avati brothers (Pupi Avati and Antonio Avati) behind Stone's Italian Cinema debut are portraying her as celeb that is difficult to work with.
