Avril Lavigne's divorce from Chad Kroeger could happen soon as the couple faced a lot of issues just a year into marriage.

An article from Us Weekly reported about the possible Avril Lavigne divorce from Chad Kroeger after talking to multiple sources who confirmed that the marriage is not as smooth sailing as the couple would like most people to believe.

"It's over. He has been going around L.A. telling people that they are divorcing," one insider told the magazine.

The Nickelback frontman and Lavigne decided to take the plunge in August 2012 just one month after dating, although their wedding wouldn't take place until July 1, 2013 in the south of France.

The Hollywood Life confirmed the news on Avril Lavigne's divorce from Chad Kroeger as the couple hasn't been spotted together in a long while.

The news come in the heels of the 17-carat diamond ring that Chad Kroeger gave Avril Lavigne during their first wedding anniversary, which was even bigger than the 14-carat ring he gifted her when he popped the question.

Of course, those blings don't come close to the 20-carat diamond ring Chad Kroeger gave Avril Lavigne on the day of their wedding.

Avril Lavigne shared the photo of the anniversary ring on her Twitter account, which has around 16 million followes: "I still can't believe my 1 year ANNIVERSARY GIFT. 17 carat emerald cut. Wow. I love my hubby."

A source told Hollywood Life that Avril Lavigne was seen partying with her girlfriends at the Chateau Marmont on August 29.

"She wasn't wearing the huge diamond rock her husband Chad gave her as a gift on their first wedding anniversary," the source said. "She looked like she was having a fun time but it's kind of strange because she hasn't been out in public with Chad for some time now."
