In addition to becoming a first time mom soon, Zoe Saldana is taking on a whole new role. The actress will be executive producing a new docu-series on AOL called "My Hero," which follows various celebrities as they give special surprises to the individuals who have meant the most to them in their lives.

And in addition to her role behind the camera, pregnant Saldana will star in the show's first episode, which will air on Oct. 24.

"I've never met anyone with the vulnerability and the strength of my mom has," Saldana says in the sneak peak of "My Hero."

In the premiere episode of the AOL series, Saldana invites fans into her family's history. The actress reveals how her mother, Asalia Nazario, raised her and her two sisters by herself in the Dominican Republic after Saldana's father passed away.

The "Guardians of the Galaxy" star goes on to surprise her mother with an emotional and tear jerking celebration.

Other famous faces that are set to appear on the show are Julianne Hough, Maria Menounous, and Michelle Monaghan.

AOL TV also just announced the premiere dates for the rest of their new crop of series.

"Laugh Lessons with Kevin Nealon," will premiere on Oct. 6. The comedy-based show will feature Adam Sandler, Sarah Silverman, and David Spade.

Nicole Richie's show "#Candidly Nicole" will return for its second season on Oct. 9.

"True Trans with Laura Jane Grace," which stars the transgender lead singer of Against Me! Premieres on Oct. 10, while Emmy nominated "Future Starts Here," starring Tiffany Shian will return for its second season on Oct. 23.
