Jackie Chan's son, Jaycee Chan, lost the deal he had with a Chinese company after he was formally charged following the drug bust, but the action superstar came to the rescue.

In a report from The Straits Times, citing Ming Pao Daily News as source, the "Rush Hour" star reportedly stepped in after Babi Food dropped Jackie Chan's son Jaycee as a spokesman.

Jaycee Chan became the spokesman of the company in March.

"Chan is now the face in Babi's new posters, which appeared in Shanghai recently, said Ming Pao," said the Singaporean publication. "There is talk that he has stepped in to compensate the company for its loss."

Chinese prosecutors last week found that the arrest of the 31-year-old actor where the police found around 100 grams of weed on his home was legal, which means the court proceedings can now continue.

According to the New Zealand's Times Live that if found guilty, Jackie Chan's son Jaycee Chan could face prison term of up to three years. The actor has been detained since last month for the crime.

Following the arrest, Jackie Chan posted a statement on his website published on Us Weekly.

"First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for your care and concerns. The recent news about my son, Jaycee, is very shocking and the impact it has caused on society is heartbreaking. When I first heard the news, I was absolutely enraged.

"As a public figure, I feel very ashamed; as his dad, I'm very sad and disappointed. But the person who feels heartbroken the most is his mom.. "I hope our younger generation will learn from Jaycee's mistake and stay far away from drug abuse."

"I should also take some of this responsibility because as his dad, I didn't teach him WELL. Therefore, on behalf of Jaycee and myself, I extend our deepest apologies to everyone for the negative impact this has caused on society. Thank you," he wrote about the Jackie Chan's son Jaycee controversy.
