Upcoming Motorola Phones 2014: Moto Maker Working On Two Rumored Handsets, Dubbed Moto S And Droid Turbo

The two most important upcoming Motorola phones for 2014 is the new Moto X, and Google's Nexus 6 smartphone. However, in spite getting its hands full these past months, the mobile manufacturer is still working on two other handsets.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the company once owned by Google is developing two smartphones, presumably powered by Android.

In the report, the two devices will be dubbed the Moto S and the Droid Turbo. Just like other naming patterns in other manufacturers particularly that of HTC, the Moto S should be a midranger sibling of the newly announced Moto X. But it will stay in the middle ground of the flagship and the super affordable Moto G2.

In spite the possible midrange specs, the Moto S is shaping up to be a phablet, with its bigger back panels compared to the Motorola Moto X.

Meanwhile, the Droid Turbo will be exclusive to Verizon, just like previous Droid handsets in the past. Some rumored specs of the smartphone include a 5.2 inch display, front facing speakers, dual-LED flash for the primary camera, and of course the Droid logo behind the device.

We'll see more of these devices in the coming months. Hopefully, Motorola would keep the pricing low so it would be an option to more consumers around the globe.

Announced before 2013 ended, the Moto G is one such device that has experienced tremendous sucess this past year. That success has led to multiple versions of the device, and a successor this year.
