An adorable video with Shakira teaching her son Milan to read his first words grabbed so much attention. The video is posted in the singer-songwriter's facebook page on Wednesday September 24 and has shown Shakira being a mother and how she enjoys spending time with her son who is growing up fast while she is waiting for her next baby.

Captioned with the words, "Aprendiendo a leer con mami" ("Learning to read with mommy" in English) the Loca singer is seen holding her 19-month old son Milan in her lap while scribbling some words on a notepad instructing her little boy to spell out the loud the words she has written.

'Mama', 'papa' and 'agua' are one of the first words that Milan has successfully read. Meanwhile, the Hips Don't Lie singer always makes sure to praise his son and say "muy bien" lovingly whenever he gets the word right .

Recently, the 37-year old Colombian artist is invited in the Today Show and is made to share more of her experiences being a mother. In the interview, she said that being a mother is one of the happiest things she has experienced lately.

"When you have a baby, when you feel his love, you feel so at peace with the world," Shakira said. "You just want to share the good news and share how happy you feel."

She said that being with her son also enables her to learn important lessons in a very implied way.  

"He has taught me to let go of the reins a little bit and be more punctual too!  And I think all of that has to do with the fact that he's just a wise little creature."

It is to be remembered that last month, Shakira revealed to Cosmopolitan that she is expecting another baby. Further reports from Daily Mail revealed that the next baby would be a baby boy.

Meanwhile, grandparents, Nidia Ripoll and William Mebarak Chadid (the singer's parents) are very excited to welcome another member in their family.
