Blackberry Passport To Change The Trend Of Phablets! Know More About The Specs, Designs And Other Details Of This Newest Smartphone!

In a simultaneous global event held last Wednesday, Blackberry announced their response to the "phablet" craze: the Blackberry Passport.

Passport is named after "passport" - the universal symbol of mobility. Its size is also similar to a size of a real passport. It has a 4.5 inch, 1,440 x 1,440 pixel resolution touchscreen display and Blackberry claims that its resolution is better than that of the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy S5.

Its wide display helps user to easily read any documents, files or webpages. According to Blackberry, Passport has a strong audio quality for it can also be made a loud speakerphone and it is said to be 18 times louder than that of HTC One and 350 times louder than the Samsung Galaxy S5.

Its battery is 3,450mAh that can last up to 30 hours depending on usage. Good part is that, when you place your Passport on a table, it automatically turns into standby mode that can save you enough battery.

It also has a 13 megapixel rear camera with new lens and sensor. It has a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 3gb RAM and an internal memory of 32gb. And, if Apple has Siri, Blackberry is now introducing Blackberry Assistant. Like any other systems, commands can be made when spoken but unlike the others, in Passport, commands can also be typed when you need to be quiet.

Are you wondering if the Passport uses keyboard or touchscreen? Good news is, Passport has brought the keyboard back. Only this time, the touchscreen is combined by a touch enabled keyboard and it is said to be the Passport's greatest feature.

Blackberry chairman and CEO John Chen said, "the Blackberry Passport was created to drive productivity and to break through the sea of rectangular-screen, all-touch devices."

Some views the Passport to be difficult to handle because of its square dimension. With this, Citi analyst, Ehud Gelblum answered, "We believe the Square shape of the screen could make the vast store of Android apps now available via the Amazon app store a disappointing experience as most were designed for a longer screen implying they would need to be redesigned."

The event was held simultaneously last September September 24 in London, Toronto and Dubai.
