iPad Pro Rumors Include Unique A8X Chip? Tipped To Offer 2GB RAM, Better Graphics Performance

Now that the dust has settled after the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch, we now head to the upcoming iPads, including the iPad Pro which is rumored to be released early next year.

While both the iPad Air 2 and the iPad mini 3 are all locked for an announcement date some time in October, the biggest slate of them all will reportedly arrive months later.

According to recent reports, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro should be unveiled early in 2015, and it looks like Apple is taking its sweet time in creating another masterpiece.

In a report by GSM Arena, some insiders claim that the new and upcoming iPad slate will feature a new chipset, dubbed as the A8X. It should be a chipset that can handle more graphics intensive tasks as well as multi-tasking features.

In a mobile device that has a 12.9-inch screen (even bigger than the 11" MacBook Air which is a laptop), we would expect the Cupertino manufacturer to include split screen functionality just like the one which would reportedly arrive with the new iPad Air this year.

In addition to A8X which would allegedly be made TSMC, the new Apple tablet will also boast 2GB of RAM, double the processing power included in both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Of course none of these rumors have been confirmed yet, so we better take them with more than a pinch of salt.
