The free games for Xbox Live Gold members for October 2014 have been announced!

Xbox Live Gold members can expect 3 new free games for this month, as revealed on MajorNelson.com.

Xbox 360 owners with Xbox Live Gold membership can get the 2010 Electronic Arts game, "Battlefield: Bad Company 2" for free. Beginning Wednesday, October 1, the first-person shooter video game usually priced at $19.99 will be available for 0 Microsoft Point.

As described on the game's official website, "Battlefield Bad CompanyTM 2 brings the spectacular Battlefield gameplay to the forefront of next-gen consoles and PC, featuring best-in-class vehicular combat set across a wide range of huge sandbox maps each with a different tactical focus. New vehicles like the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and the UH-60 transport helicopter allow for all-new multiplayer tactics in the warzone."

This free Xbox 360 game for Xbox Live Gold members will be available only until the 15th of October.

On October 16, it will be replaced by another one of the listed free games for Xbox Live Gold members, the Darksiders 2, which originally is worth $49.99. According to its Wikipedia page, the sequel to DarkSiders is an "action role-playing hack and slash video game developed by Vigil Games and published by THQ."

Moreover, Xbox One users can get a new game for free next month. Accordingly, Chariot, developed by Canadian company, Frima, will launch on Microsoft's latest console as a free download. The latest title from ID@Xbox will replace Super Time Force, one of the free Xbox One games for Xbox Live Gold members for the month of September.
