Vanessa Williams Is Engaged to Boyfriend Jim Skrip; Flashes Her Ring While On The Set Of The Queen Latifah Show And Says Her Engagement Is One Of 'A Lot Of Blessings' [PHOTO]

Just yesterday, Vanessa Williams announced that she is engaged to her boyfriend Jim Skrip while on the set of The Queen Latifah Show. Skrip is from Buffalo, New York, and the two met in 2012 on a trip to Egypt.

Latifah was quick to point on the rock on Williams' finger, saying, "Vanessa, I have been trying to have a conversation with you ladies and gents, but I am blinded by the light coming from that bling ring on your finger," joking with the actress. Williams replied, "Oh, sorry, darling, I got engaged. I have had a lot of good things happen... I turned 50 when we were on rehearsal on Broadway, I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings."

According to the Daily Mail, Williams was last married to basketball star Rick Fox, who she divorced in 2004. She has four children: Sasha, Jillian, Devin, and Melanie. Vanessa's website states, "Vanessa Williams is one of the most respected and multi-faceted performers in entertainment today. She has conquered the musical charts, Broadway, music videos, television, and motion pictures. She has sold millions of albums worldwide and she has achieved critical acclaim as an actress on stage, in film, and on television."

She is currently starring in Broadway's "A Trip to Bountiful," where she is acting alongside celebrated actress Cecily Tyson. Williams will play the character Jessie Mae Watts, the daughter-in-law of Tyson's character Carrie Watts.

According to the show's Broadway website, Williams has appeared on Broadway in Into the Woods (Tony nomination), Kiss of the Spider-Woman (Theatre World Award), and Sondheim on Sondheim on Sondheim, and Off-Broadway in St. Louis Woman in the City Center's acclaimed Encores! Series. Williams is perhaps most well-known for her three-time Emmy nominated performance as Wilhelmina Slater in "Ugly Betty" as well as her role as Renee Perry in "Desperate Housewives."

The new episode of The Queen Latifah Show starring Williams will air this coming Tuesday.
