Emma Watson Nude Hoax: There Is No Truth To 4Chan Nude Photo Leak; No Such Photos Exist

Reports of an Emma Watson nude hoax revealed that there are no existing compromising photos of the star.

Previously, threats were directed towards Emma Watson after the actress and United Nations ambassador delivered an excellent speech about feminism. According to TIME.com, there is no truth to the nude photo leak and the malicious acts were merely planned by a group who claimed to be celebrity publicists who wanted to shut down the website 4Chan.

The group tagged itself as a public relations firm who intended to shut down the internet platform, which received a lot of flak for posting the hacked nude photos of celebrities in the past month.

An open letter was sent by the group, which called itself "Rantic Media", and stated: "We have been hired by celebrity publicists to bring this disgusting issue to attention. The recent 4chan celebrity nude leaks in the past 2 months have been an invasion of privacy and is also clear indication that the internet NEEDS to be censored. Every Facebook like, share & Twitter mention will count as a social signature - and will be one step closer to shutting down https://www.4chan.org."

Rantic Media, which is also known as Social VEVO, said in a report by The Guardian that the objective of the Emma Watson nude hoax was to direct attention to the sexism of 4chan and the recent nude photo leaks of celebrities. However, many thought that the group did not achieve much in attempting to protect women's rights. It was not contested that 4chan has long been a shady site. The harassers merely reminded women that that online threats and sexual harassment can be used as a joke to boost traffic and create hype.

Many fans actually viewed the Emma Watson nude hoax only as a means of making Watson's voice louder. It was considered an outrage by many and might provoke others to finally act.
