The Simpsons Death: One Character Rumored To Die On The First Episode Of Season 26

The Simpsons Season 26 is set to start at 8:00 p.m. on September 28, 2014 on Fox. Fans are already speculating about the Simpsons death that will be featured on the first episode.

In a report by Yahoo! TV, news of a character getting killed off on the Season 26 premiere, entitled "Clown in the Dumps" surfaced in October 2013. Executive producer of the show, Al Jean, stated, "When we kill them, they stay dead."

For several months, Jean gave different hints on who could be the most likely character. One of the biggest tips was that the actor or actress playing the character already won an Emmy for the role. He added, "I'd like to say it's a great character, but I never used the word 'iconic'." Matt Selman, executive producer of The Simpsons, said that they already informed the actor about his or her character's death in the premiere.

One of the most likely characters to be killed off based on the hints would be Rabbi Krustofski. Jackie Mason won an Emmy award for the role. Krustofski is also great but not iconic, according to Yahoo! TV. Considering the title, Krusty the Clown would be sad, should his father really die in the episode.

According to the International Business Times, four others are speculated to be The Simpsons death character.

Krusty the Clown is possible based on the title and synopsis but others feel that he can be deemed an "iconic" character. If Krusty would remain, his circle would be the likely targets. Sideshow Mel Van Horne is another good guess, considering that he is Krusty's sidekick. Sidekick Bob Terwillinger can also be a likely victim.

Mel replaced Bob in previous seasons and tried to kill Krusty. He might trigger Krusty to murder him. Another The Simpsons death character would be Cecil Terwillinger, played by David Hyde Pierce. Pierce will guest-star in the season premiere.
