Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’ Spoilers: New TV Spots Reveals New Artificial Intelligence Character And That ‘Every Hour Here Is Seven Years On Earth’ [VIDEO]

In "2001: A Space Odyssey," robots were not made in the image of humans. They instead formed black rectangular shapes that possessed their own intelligence. These shapes that seemed to be created by some alien race may have been missing from cinema for the past
decade, but it seems they will make a comeback in November.

"Interstellar," Christopher Nolan's space epic, has been shrouded purposely in mystery but as more trailers and images are released, more and more information is uncovered. This weekend new TV spots for the film began to air and within the TV spots there are two very tiny details that further expose new aspects of the film: robotic/monolith figures, and an utterance about how much time passes while the characters are in space.

Matthew McConaughey, who stars in "Interstellar" as one of the best pilots of all time, recently spoke to Empire magazine about the film: "This is the grandest adventure I think any of us will ever see on film... This is the biggest film I've ever been a part of. This is one of the biggest films anyone's ever been a part of."

Based on the sweeping landscapes in the newest TV spots, no one should doubt McConaughey about the size and scale of "Interstellar."

Often it requires much reading between the lines to figure out what is going to occur in a Christopher Nolan film (the director is notorious for closed sets and NDAs), and in just a few split seconds of the new TV spots, audiences can learn about two new elements in his upcoming space odyssey, "Interstellar."

The first new element is some kind of robot that closely resembles the monoliths from "2001: A Space Odyssey." It's easy to miss the small new detail as the footage flashes for just a few seconds. Thankfully Screenrant has screen captured the images of cubic rectangular figures as they carry an astronaut (Perhaps Anne Hathaway?) through the water. The presence of these new figures suggest that the film will incorporate artificial intelligence in some way.

The second new element contains another possible plot spoiler as one of the astronauts states that, "every hour here is seven years on Earth." There's been a lot of speculation that the plot of "Interstellar" will involve wormholes that result in McConaughey returning to grown children played by Casey Affleck and Jessica Chastain. This tiny bit of dialogue supports that theory because with time passing that fast, it's hard to imagine returning from space to find that nothing has changed.

Or is it? Space and time travel are often linked in science fiction, so it could go either way in Christopher Nolan's "Interstellar." No one will know for sure until it's theatrical release on November 7th. Until then, fans can check out one of the new TV spots below.
