After her 2000 crime-drama film, Traffic, Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones is set to play a new role this year 2014 as a Colombian drug Lord originally from Cartagena, Colombia whose notoriety is at its peak in the 70s and 80s and had become a multimillionaire later on. But starting this month, news spread that the Golden Globe awardee's participation to the biopic has received a lot of negative comments as she is said to hold no resemblance to the real character.

"I'm sorry but what part of this casting makes any kind of sense? Come on Hollywood. AreThere NO LATIN actresses???" actress Yolanda Ross' tweet grabbed attention from media outlets.

"Zeta-Jones is called upon to be Colombian when there are more visible Latina actresses working in Hollywood than ever," The Washington Post said further saying that some filmmakers' decision in choosing characters are questionable causing some angry comments and violent comments.

Further, the Washington Post implicitly wanted the producers to consider other Latina candidates for the said role like Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Connelly.

Often named as La Madrina, Black Widow, and the Cocaine Godmother, Griselda Blanco is one of the most-feared figures in drug trafficking as she had facilitated a lot of killings of people who stand in her way. She is said to have run away from home and became a prostitute while in her journey to New York where she married her husband, Deadline Hollywood reports.
