Ashlee Simpson turned the big 3-0 on Friday, Oct. 3! And for the special birthday, the star's friends and family created a snowy wonderland in California.

And we're talking real snow.

 "Last night made it @ashleesimpsonofficial favorite holiday Christmas in California. It was a snowy one. Happy birthday baby," Evan Ross captioned the photo of his new wife's 30^th birthday celebration.

Ashlee, who can be seen wearing a leopard print coat and boots, is perched on a mound of actual snow in the photo. The star is posed alongside husband Ross and two smiling friends, who all appear to be enjoying Christmas a little early this year.

According to E! News, the authentic wintry powder was brought in specifically for Ashlee's bday, along with a ton of holiday cheer.

"One of Ashlee's best friends threw her a 'Dirty Thirty' Christmas-themed party at Ashlee's place last night," a source told E! "They had real snow brought in. Ashlee wore a coat and played in the snow. They have huge candy canes all over, Christmas trees, colorful lights draped around."

Simpson's husband, who she married on Aug. 30 in Connecticut, also posted a photo of his new bride from their honeymoon trip to Bali in celebration of his wife turning 30.

"I love you I love you. It's been such an amazing year. Happy birthday 2 my beautiful wife @ashleesimpsonofficial !" Ross captioned the photo.

Also wishing the singer/actress a happy birthday was her older sister Jessica Simpson, who posted a gorgeous pic of Ashlee to Instagram.

"Happy Birthday Ashlee! There is no one I believe in more than you. Thank you for inspiring me everyday. I love you!!! #dirty30."

Jessica later shared a photo of herself wearing a glittery mask in preparation of more birthday festivities for her little sis.

"Ready to celebrate 30yrs of having the best sister on the planet! Happy Birthday @ashleesimpsonofficial," Jessica wrote.

Looks like Ashlee had one heck of a birthday!
