Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow may have "consciously uncoupled" but they're staying close. In fact, they're neighbors!

The Coldplay frontman reportedly bought a house in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles across the street from his ex. Martin even through Paltrow a birthday party once he moved in.

According to Us Weekly, Martin recently purchased a European-style home in Brentwood. The proximity between Martin and Paltrow's residences allows their children, Apple, 10, and Moses, 8, to spend time with both of their parents "whenever they want," an insider told the publication.

Martin's new house reportedly has an all-white interior and modern architecture. Us Weekly reports that the 7,700-square-foot home cost $6.75 million and features 5 bedrooms and 7 baths.

Paltrow's mom, actress Blythe Danner, allegedly helped her former son-in-law move in to the new residence.  

Martin and Paltrow have remained close after the end of their ten-year marriage. The musician even through his Oscar-winning ex star-studded party for her 42^nd birthday at his new home on Sept. 28.

"Everyone was seated facing each other so they could talk and tell stories," a source told Us.

The guest list included Danner, Kate Hudson, Nicole Richie, Toby Maguire and wife Jen Meyer, Maya Rudolph, and Gavin Rossdale.  

"They were all laughing together... Gwyneth was surrounded by girlfriends and couldn't stop giggling," explained the source, adding that, at one point, Gwyneth was "yelling because she was laughing so hard."

One famous face who was not at the bash, however, was Jennifer Lawrence, Martin's new girlfriend. Perhaps their relationship is still too new to be consciously mingling.
