Is Amanda Bynes engaged?

While the former Nickelodeon star has been spending time in New York City after her DUI arrest in southern California, she allegedly told a reporter that she is planning to get married.

"I am very needy for friendship and I hate men. I want to f--- them, but I can now say I'm engaged - get away from me," Bynes told an In Touch reporter on Oct. 5.

According the reporter, Bynes claimed to be engaged to a 19-year-old bait shop employee named Caleb who lives in California.

"I want to be married and I want to be away from people," the actress added.

Bynes was arrested in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles early on Sunday, Oct. 28^th when a California Highway Patrol officer suspected her of driving her Mercedes-Benz while under the influence.

She was reportedly released around noon that day on $15,000 bail and is set to appear in court on Oct. 23 in Van Nuys.

In the meantime, Bynes is taking a break from driving, instead spending her days walking and bike-riding in NYC.

"I really do not enjoy driving," the "Easy A" actress told In Touch. "I don't like the way I look in a car. The lighting is very bad."

As for her alleged engagement to Caleb, Bynes admits that she is already thinking about starting a family.  

"I want boys, for sure. However many I can pop out," she told In Touch. "I don't want a gorgeous girl around. Then I [would] feel way jealous. Ew."

After Bynes's arrest, her parents Rick and Lynn revealed that they did not know their daughter's whereabouts.

"We know nothing about this. We were called by the press," said her father Rick, adding, "She's 28. She does what she wants."
