‘Attack On Titan’ Season 2 Release Date: Production Underway As Fans Get Ready For ‘Attack On Titan: The Crimson Bow And Arrow’ Compilation Film Debut In November

While this fall brings back the highly anticipated season two of "Psycho Pass," anime fans still have quite a while to wait for their beloved titan fighting survey corps to return.

There has been no official announcement yet as to when "Attack on Titan" season two will air, but most people are speculating that the anime will return sometime between April and September 2015. Christian Post originally reported that Wit Studio did not want to have a release date until the release of manga volumes 15 and 16, and so far this report remains true.

'Attack on Titan' creator Hajime Isayama has been pretty quiet about the future plot lines of the series, but did recently state that he "wants the manga to end in about three years."

The length/future of the "Attack on Titan" manga often directly affects the anime adaptation, which is currently being handled by Wit Studios. Since the latest manga volumes have official release dates for December and April of next year, one might suppose that "Attack on Titan" season two will follow soon. Sadly, despite being one of the most anticipated second seasons of anime to date, there has been little information released to the public as to when fans can expect to see the anime.

Instead it seems their efforts have been refocused on two new anime versions of "Attack on Titan," the first being a full length animated film "Attack on Titan Part 1: The Crimson Bow and Arrow." The film will be released in Japan on November 22nd, according to Anime News Network. Fans lucky enough to purchase advanced tickets for the screening will get one of two mini B6-size clear files with a special illustration by character designer Kyoji Asano. The film will combine events from Episodes 1-13 of the anime, with perhaps some never before seen footage that was cut from the anime?

With the release of the compilation film "Attack on Titan Part 1: The Crimson Bow and Arrow" and "Attack on Titan" volume 15, fans of the survey corps members should have plenty to look forward to before 2014 ends. Here's hoping that an "Attack on Titan" season two release date soon becomes part of the "Attack on Titan" news to look forward to.
