NBA Pre-Season: Jabari Parker Scores Win For Milwaukee Bucks! Rookie Of The Year Favorite Gains Positive Reviews From Coach Jason Kidd

The NBA Pre-Season can be a strange time. The top teams right now are the Lakers and the Celtics and recently joining them is the Milwaukee Bucks. There might be more than meets the eye for this team as they have two key players they didn't have last year: Rookie of the Year favorite Jabari Parker and the injured Larry Sanders.

The big victory was covered by Journal Sentinel and they had some of the interviews.

New head coach Jason Kidd jested at the press room: "It was a boring game." The Milwaukee Bucks beat the Memphis Grizzlies, 86-83.

Of course, he was kidding as JS recounts:

"Rookie forward Jabari Parker impressed in his debut and center Larry Sanders shook off the rust in his first appearance in a competitive game since February."

Kidd continues: "In this league no matter who suits up or who plays, you've got to learn how to win. Everybody's excited. Nerves can play a part. I think he settled in after that first 8 minutes."

Some highlights:

Parker made a one-handed dunk after showing the ball to Grizzlies forward Earl Clark and coming back the other way on a fourth-quarter play that brought the 4,685 fans out of their seats. Sanders bumped chests with Parker after the play.

Sanders has good words for the new addition to the team: "Every time he gets up in the air, I love to see that kid fly. He's one of the kids that's so humble and so hungry, you just love to see him do well. We're all behind him and it's going to be great to see him grow this year."

The Rookie also gets a chance to test himself as he played power forward with the brutish Zach Randolph:

"But I was able to pound with him. I'm not the thinnest guy, so I was able to hold my ground. I have to learn how to play over the top. I think he got me more when he sunk me down around the rim."

Jason Kidd likes how his ward stood up against one of the league's best:

"Zach is one of the best in the league, very physical. Jabari found that out very quickly. But this is all good stuff, great learning on the job."
