Upcoming Motorola Phones 2014: New Droid Turbo Smartphone Allegedly Boasts 3,900mAh Battery, Packs Monster Specs Incl. 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 805 SoC, 21MP Camera

In spite the number of upcoming Motorola phones for 2014, Moto fans are still waiting for a really high-end device where they can really make an investment.

Fortunately, even before Android and Moto fans start to demand it, the manufacturer has already thought of developing probably its most powerful smartphone yet.

Dubbed as the Motorola Droid Turbo, the rumored handset will allegedly arrive exclusively for Verizon, and so if you are subscribers of Big Red, you're surely in for a treat.

And in a report earlier today, it looks like people don't have to wait much longer.

According to a report by Phone Arena, the device will be announced on October 28 in an event, so that means the smartphone could be on Verizon's shelves by next month.

As far as specs are concerned, we are liking how the flagship Droid is shaping up - a 5.2-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 805 SoC from Qualcomm and in a new report, a whopping 3900mAh of battery.

The battery alone is among the biggest selling points of the device, which in theory could power the smartphone for more than 12 hours under heavy usage.

In case battery level is not a concern for you, the Droid Turbo also caters to cameraphone enthusiasts with a rumored 21MP primary camera. This beats even the best Android smartphones in the market today such as the Galaxy Note 4 (16MP), Sony Xperia Z3 (20.7MP), LG G3 and HTC One M8 Eye (13MP), and others.

Considering Motorola is widely known as a seller of affordable smartphones, a lot of interested buyers are now thinking that the new Droid Turbo could be a lot cheaper than the Galaxy Note 4 or the LG G3.

Meanwhile, another upcoming Motorola handset is the Moto S, though we cannot confirm if it is the unlocked version of the Droid Turbo.

Stay tuned for more updates.
