Closing Of Chef Gordon Ramsay's London Restaurant Related To Debt Rumors? 'Hell's Kitchen' Host Proves All Is Well With Opening Of Heddon Street Kitchen

The closing of Chef Gordon Ramsay's London restaurant is not related to the debt rumors as the host of "Hell's Kitchen" will be opening Heddon Street Kitchen in Mayfair in November this year and the Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill at the Caesar's casino in Atlantic City next year.

According to the New York Daily News, Chef Gordon Ramsay's London restaurant will be serving its final meal on Saturday.

The restaurant inside The London hotel in Midtown used to have two Michelin stars after opening in 2006 but lost them. But the hotel will keep Maze by Gordon Ramsay.

Hotel spokesperson Amanda Duff explained: "We're closing fully to reflect the more casual dining style preferred by the guests. They really are demanding more of a casual dining setting, more of a casual dining scene."

But the closing of Gordon Ramsay's London restaurant is neither due to debt or the reasons stated by Duff.

"We are heavily involved with all our restaurants and partners around the world with the exception of The London, who unfortunately rarely cooperate or communicate with us," the spokesperson of the "Hell's Kitchen" host said.

"It's disappointing that they have taken this decision but we believe the dining experience they've been offering lately has not been the standard expected by us or our customers when they dine at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant.‎ As always, the door remains open for them to engage with us in a meaningful way," the rep added.

Meanwhile, Hello! Magazine reported that Chef Gordon Ramsay is gearing up open Heddon Street Kitchen at the Food Quarter in Regent's Street.

"A bustling and breathtaking space over two floors, Gordon's newest restaurant is a stylish mix of vintage and modern, and is set to offer a contemporary European menu," it said.

Chef Gordon Ramsay is also betting on Atlantic City as he opens a pub & grill in early 2015, despite casino hotels leaving the area, said NY Daily News.
