A Sneak Peek Of Daredevil Television Series Slated For 2015 At The New York Comic Con

Another big event at the New York Comic Convention is the showing of Daredevil's Netflix series clips slated for 2015.

USA Today reported that the footage also unveils a new kind of the comic book hero, darker and more serious Daredevil.

Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television and a Daredevil executive producer said during the Comic con "Daredevil will be the first of five series to appear exclusively on Netflix."

The cast of the original Daredevil are Loeb then formally introduced the cast in their first press appearance: Toby Leonard Moore as Wesley (who was hired five minutes before shooting began, said DeKnight), Bob Gunton as Leland Owlsley, Vondie Curtis-Hall as Ben Urich, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Woll as Karen Page, Vincent D'Onofrio as The Kingpin Wilson Fisk, Cox as Matt Murdock, and show runner Steven DeKnight.

The clips showed that Daredevil would not be donning the usual red suit but a black suit with a mask.

 DeKnight said of the show's origin, "When we were on 'Buffy' twelve years ago, we sat in my room, Jeph came in late one night and I just had a wall of Marvel action figures and Daredevil was a prominent one. We said, 'we're gonna do that show one day, and we're gonna do it right,'" Hollywood Reporter stated the show runner as saying.

The series will be targeting much older demographics. In 2003 Daredevil movie starring Ben Affleck hits the screen.

 After the 2003 film gained success there were talks for Affleck to reprise the role if the character will have a more darker tone but a few years after he said he is not going to the a sequel of the film.

In 2008, there were talks of making a reboot of the Daredevil with the producers having another actor in mind. The talks never materialized.
