Dave Bautista News: ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ Star To Play Villain 'Hinx' And Battles Daniel Craig In New James Bond Film! Will '007' Collide With 'The Animal' In The Big Screen Very Soon?

As we learned in August, the 24th James Bond film will feature an aggressive and physically uncommon villainous henchman for the Casino Royale star battle on the big screen. Following the comparisons to classic Bond characters like Jaws and Oddjob, we began putting together a list of actors who'd fit the roles, apparently, one of those names has already gotten the job.

MI6 HQ revealed the casting call description needed physically fit and large actors. They were looking for someone who is 30-45 years old, above 6'2" tall and some unconventional to pay the role of a character named Hinx. They were even open to considering athletes too and the goal was clearly to find someone who could be unique and remarkable. The role comprised of numerous altercations with Bond himself.

The top three in our list included, Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (Game of Thrones) and Joe Gatt (Thor, Star Trek Into Darkness). All of them have distinguished geek-friendly acting experience and are physical power houses.

So when Latino-Review revealed this evening that actor, professional mixed martial artist and professional wrestler (former WWE wrestler) Dave Bautista has got the role, especially considering the huge success of 'Guardian of the Galaxy' at the box office over the last couple of months. Bautista played Drax the Destroyer in the 2014 Marvel Studios film Guardians of the Galaxy, the movie was a critical as well as commercial success. Toys of his character can be found in department stores even now. Guardian's sequel is set to hit theaters in July 2017 and also a an animated TV series of Guardian of the Galaxy will air next year. Obviously casting Bautista would be a smart capitalization on the buzz and how younger moviegoers who didn't follow his wrestling career will recognize him.

Just few days ago, we learned that Léa Seydoux (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) would be joining the cast of the 24th James Bond film too. The film enters production on December 2014 and will see a late 2015 release. The film intends to complete the most successful Bond film to date, Skyfall.
