Chloe Moretz News: The Equalizer Actress One Of The Highest Paid Teens In Hollywood; Teen Star Says Money Is Not Her Motivator

Since The Equalizer, with the icon Denzel Washington, has been making waves in its world-wide viewing, Chloe Moretz will also be reaping $$ for her casting in the movie as a Russian prostitute. This, together with her other income from previous movie projects made her to be considered one of the highest-paying teens in Hollywood.

Records obtained by TMZ said that The Equalizer has reaped at least $64million since its formal opening at the end of September. And with this, the 17-year old actress has received $400,000 as initial pay for the movie and will receive some more as it will have its tour in US, Canada and other movie capitals of the world.

According to TMZ, "...she'll get another $150,000 if the movie earns $100 million in the U.S. and Canada. Girl's got a shot -- after 2 weeks it's at $64 million domestically."

No matter how high the KickAss actress has been earning recently, she always maintained a positive outlook in choosing movie projects, particularly in choosing projects 'she would do for free' and something that she really likes.  This is an advice she received from Broadway veteran director Steven Soderbergh whom she has worked with in the play "The Library".

And that's how I've always lived my life... I've never been like, 'I'm only going to do this project if I get paid $5m!'... I've never lived my life in that way," Chloe said in an interview with The Independent.

Further, she said, "You're unhappy when you're making the projects that your agents want you to make."

In saying this, Moretz made an exception to the movie Dark Places wherein, according to her, is the hardest project that had pushed her limits as a teen actress.

Said to have been inspired by her brother Trevor to pursue acting, Chloe maintained close family ties with her mother Teri, a nurse and her father McCoy, a plastic surgeon. She has four brothers.

She had her first television appearance in CBS' The Guardian when she was seven.
