Diem Brown's cancer battle continues and the reality star is nothing but determined to overcome all odds. "The Challenge" favorite was recently hospitalized due to pain from colon cancer but maintains a positive outlook about her situation.

Diem Brown's cancer battle saw the MTV reality star at the hospital on Friday due to a pain she described as "unending." But before her confinement, she reportedly found relief from a substance that's an unpopular choice for many: medical marijuana. She also reportedly lost a huge amount of weight because of the disease and wanted to know if the organic substance can help.

In an interview with People, Brown shared the experience, saying: "I asked my doctor about it, and I'll be totally honest - I had never smoked before in my life. But I kept hearing everyone mention it. I'm taking all these synthetic drugs and they're not working, so I though, 'I want to try it.'"

"I did the vaporizer and it took away the pain and I finally felt like I was able to eat ... It's the only thing that helps," she continued.

On October 12, Brown posted an update on her condition on her verified Twitter account, saying: "Hospital room w/ @PapaJohns watching #Burlesque & finally been given pain meds that made my body feel relaxed yipppy"

Brown who was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer six years ago remain hopeful about the many setbacks she has faced in life. "I believe in power and positive thinking. I can see myself with a family, I can see myself getting married, I see all of these things," she shared. "I've had one or two brief moments where I felt like my body was shutting down no matter what my mind was thinking, and I'm like, 'What the hell? Shut up!' You legit have to start fighting with yourself. You can't let your mind go there, ever."

Diem Brown cancer battle has been taken to another level when she started helping other people suffering from the disease. In 2010, she co-founded MedGift and online gift registry for patients suffering from chronic health conditions.
