Scandal Season 4 Episode 4 Spoilers: Olivia Reunites With Fitz To Handle Personal Crisis; Mellie's Character Tested Yet Again

"Scandal" season 4, episode 4 spoilers show Olivia reuniting with Fitz to handle a personal crisis as Mellie's character is tested yet again following the tragic death of her son.

The teaser clip released by ABC provided "Scandal" season 4, episode 4 spoilers as it shows Olivia left with no choice but to work yet again for the White House after a scandal errupted involving the President's daughter.

But a return to the white house will mean facing what she had wanted to avoid - a confrontation with Fitz.

It must be recalled that Olivia boarded a plane with Jake in last season's finale to get away from Washington D.C.

"You just took off for two months," Fitz tells Olivia. "Where did you go?"

Olivia's return will also send Mellie into a tailspin as she sees her as a threat to her family. Olivia's intention to help is seen by the First Lady, who is quickly unraveling after the death of her son, as an unnecessary intervention.

"This is not her family, this is my family," she says.

The synopsis teased "Scandal" season 4, episode 4 spoilers, which is titled "Like Father Like Daughter.' It reads: "Fitz asks Olivia to shut down a situation that could destroy the Grant family's reputation. Meanwhile, Rowan calls on an old friend to do his dirty work."

The title seems to suggest how Olivia and her father, Rowan Pope, handle the situation the same way even if they operate on the opposite spectrum. Rowan has gone totally rogue in his quest for power as he had the First Son killed in the process.

Olivia already knows that Rowan Pope is responsible for the tragedy that befallen the First Family but a confrontation with her father will presumably not happen anytime soon. Earlier, Joe Morton said that he's looking forward to the confrontation between Olivia and Rowan as he promised that "sparks will fly."
