Nexus 9 Release Date Scheduled Tomorrow, Could This Be The Best Android Tablet Ever? Poised To Match Up Against New iPad Air?

If you have not been paying attention to news lately, then you probably don't know that the Nexus 9 release date is due tomorrow. That's right, Google's brand new Android-powered tablet will be announced tomorrow, October 15.

So what's the big deal with this new Android slate from Google?

The last time Google developed a Nexus slate was last year in June, and it was made by Asus. The Nexus 7 continues to be a capable device until now, thanks to the continuous arrival of updates for the device.

Back in the day, Nexus devices were seen as cheap alternatives to more expensive Android devices released by other manufacturers. The only trade-offs that buyers would have to live through are the stock Android launcher and features.

However, as Android continues to be improved every month through updates, and year through new versions, the stock look for Android has slowly become a favorite for people who love minimalist designs and functions.

That is why it does not come as a surprise that the new Nexus 9 made by Google and HTC will be a high-end one, and potentially becoming the most expensive Nexus slate ever.

Some rumored specs include an 8.9-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, 3GB of RAM for extreme multi-tasking capabilities, and a new Tegra K1 chipset from NVIDIA which can be considered as the best graphics chip for mobile devices today.

Based on previous rumors, the device will also pack an 8MP primary camera and a 1.2MP shooter in front to take care of the camera department.

Now that most of the rumored specs and features have already been laid out, the most crucial part of the the Nexus 9 strategy is its pricing. Now that it boasts high-end specs, will it rise above other brands in terms of pricing and become a premium device, or settle for an affordable price tag?

We will answer these questions tomorrow during the Nexus and Android 5.0 L launch.
