If there's a chance that North American anime fans missed "Yona of the Dawn" while it was streamed by Crunchyroll, they will now get a second chance.

Today it was announced that "Akatsuki no Yona" or "Yona of the Dawn" would now be simulcast and distributed on home video by Funimation. The series comes from the manga of the same title, created by Mizuho Kusanagi.

Initially some fans were worried that this announcement would affect their ability to catch "Yona of the Dawn" on Crunchyroll.

"Having two companies paying rights to stream a title is more profitable than just one. And this wouldn't be the first time both have gotten rights to a simulcast," assured one fan named Domvina.

Indeed it is likely that both companies will continue to stream and simulcast the series due to the multiple profits to be gained. Either way, Crunchyroll has not said anything about losing the series, so it can probably be assumed that "Yona of the Dawn" will remain available digitally for fans to catch up.

For those unfamiliar with either the manga or anime version of "Yona of the Dawn," Funimation describes the story as follows:

"Upon her sixteenth birthday, the cheerful Princess Yona intended to tell her doting father of her love for SuWon, but her life was turned upside down after witnessing the man she loves cruelly assassinating her father. Heartbroken by this painful betrayal, Princess Yona fled the palace with her loyal servant Hak. Now, she will take up the sword and the bow on a quest to gain new allies and protect her beloved people."

"Yona of the Dawn" comes from Studio Pierrot, the animation studio that has already proved its talents with anime like "Bleach," "Tokyo Ghoul," and "Fushigi Yuugi." In that way, anime fans who haven't seen the series already can expect top notch animation style.

"Yona of the Dawn" will begin its simulcast on October 21st.
