Pokemon Global Link To Undergo Maintenance Before Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire Release Date: New PokeNav Functions Unveiled

Prior to the release of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the Pokemon Global Link will be undergoing maintenance to introduce its new features.

According to Serebii, the Pokemon Global Link will go through maintenance from November 13 to November 21 to add features like the ability to share your Secret Base and photos from Pokemon Contests.

In addition, the Pokemon Global Link will reportedly have a special XY League and ORAS League.

In the ORAS League, players can only use Pokemon that can be obtained within Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, or that was gifted from Pokemon X and Y. In the XY League, players can battle using X or Y and can utilize any Pokemon obtained within those games, as well as any Pokedex additions transferred over using the Poke Transporter.

Meanwhile, additional features of the PokeNav for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have been unveiled.

According to PokeJungle, ORAS will introduce the DexNav, AreaNav, BuzzNav and PlayNav.

The DexNav will show information about Pokemon in your location while the AreaNav is a map with additional information such as trainer information, berry locations and secret bases.

The BuzzNav will feature TV segments about the Hoenn region as well as other players you encounter via StreetPass. And lastly, the PlayNav will allow access to the Player Search System (PSS), Super Training and Pokemon-Amie.
