"American Horror Story" has just begun season 4 "Freak Show," and possible spoilers on the following season have already surfaced.

Recently, FX renewed "American Horror Story" for a fifth season, and co-creator Ryan Murphy is hopeful Jessica Lange will be back in ome capacity despite calling "Freak Show" her last.

"The American Horror Story anthology has had the highest growth trajectory of any show in FX history, not to mention an unprecedented track record of success in awards recognition,” said FX CEO John Landgraf according to Hollywood Reporter.

“With Ryan Murphy and his partners, Brad Falchuk, Dante Di Loreto and Tim Minear at the helm, the show’s success is not surprising. AHS continues to deliver amazing stories, a brilliant troupe of actors led by Jessica Lange, and a visual style unlike any other on TV."

And while things look hopeful that Lange might return for "American Horror Story" season 5, Kathy Bates might be less certain.

"I love getting these fantastic characters to play," Bates told E! Online, "and Ryan's told me that he wants me to come back next year and it's getting hard to refuse, let me tell you! Everything's grown so much even since last year. It's amazing. I can't believe it."

According to spoilers, Sarah Paulson has also been approached by Murphy to return to "American Horror Story" season 5.

Meanwhile, some fans believe that hints at the theme of "American Horror Story" season 5 have already been dropped in "Freak Show."

"Season 5 is going to be aliens/Area 51," commented Justin Lebowski on Facebook. "Hints dropped in the opening episode. Elsa Mars, set in Jupiter, Florida. Elsa wears funny goggle looking glasses while talking to landlord who has planets on his tie. She also mentions a change in the air. She [also] sings 'Life on Mars.'"
