Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard did marriage counseling even before their wedding! Due to Jill Duggar’s parents’ insistence, ‘19 Kids and Counting’ couple had to complete a workbook on marriage counseling before their wedding. At least Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard got a free froyo out of it!

“The four of us meet on a weekly basis for counseling,” Michelle said in the most recent episode of ‘19 Kids and Counting’, according to In Touch Weekly. “I believe it is our responsibility to equip our children to be prepared for that next step in life of marriage.”

Looks like Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are playing the role of helicopter parents that want to look over every step that their child and their spouse takes! When you have a TLC reality TV show, it makes sense that they want their proteges to make as few mistakes as possible.

According to In Touch, the topics at Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s marriage counseling ranged from intimate couple activity, stress and, as shown in the promo video, finances.

As Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are interesting in having 19 kids and counting, it’s a smart think that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar concentrated their efforts on the money issue. And it’s a good thing that Derick is an accountant himself!

It looks like the marriage counseling session led by Jim Bob and Michelle are working! When Jill and Derick disappeared from social media for more than a week (quite a contrast from having had an update every other day), rumors of their marriage troubles quickly sprouted up.

But Jill Duggar countered these rumors by posting a selfie of her and her younger brother waiting for Derick to get off work.
