"The Originals" season 2, episode 3 spoilers hint of a sinister plan by Esther for her sons Klaus and Elijah as hybrid Hayley gets a very tempting proposition, which could test her loyalty.

The synopsis offered plenty of "The Originals" season 2, episode 3 spoilers as it says that Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) will get a cryptic invitation to dine with Esther, still in the body of Harvest girl Cassie, played by Natalie Dreyfuss.

In the last episode, Klaus and Elijah got wind of the plan that their parents are trying to kill them. So knowing Esther, this is not a going to be a social call and the Klaus and Elijah are gearing themselves up for the worst to happen.

According to Hypable, Klaus and Elijah enlist the help of Lenore, a new witch played by Sonja Sohn, in order to "stay one step ahead of Esther." However, things "quickly take an unexpected turn."

"While Elijah finds himself reluctantly teaming up with Gia (guest star Nishi Munshi), a newly-turned vampire, Hayley is faced with an enticing proposition about her new status as a Hybrid after a startling encounter with Esther," the synopsis says.

"Finally, Esther reveals a shocking secret about Klaus' childhood and unveils her ultimate plan for her children," it adds.

"The Originals" season 2, episode 3 titled "Every' Mother's Son" is directed by Dermott Downs and penned by Christopher Hollier. The air date will be on October 20, 2014.

Daniel Gillies earlier explained to E!  that the relationship between Hayley and Elijah has entered a very rocky patch but it's not exactly cooling off.

"Relationships require work, and sometimes they require space and time and healing. If it is cooling right now I suspect it will heat up again and then cool and then heat up like a parabola, that mathematical graph," he said. "They dip and they travel up, and ultimately the graph is traveling up and they're making an ascent overall."
